The Iowa Caucuses?!?!...girl, please, did you hear about BRITNEY?!

Not to be outdone by, you know, more important things, like, I dunno, say the presidency, the hot, rancid mess that is Britney Spears put on her own show last night. Apparently she held her kids hostage, was high on something or other, was whisked away in an ambulance, yada yada. Goddamnit, I am so sick and tired of hearing about her. It's one thing to be all over the tabloids, but CNN coverage?! It's outrageous, especially on a night where something a little more important was going on. It's not like they didn't have anything else to report. It's a reflection of our sordid society, and it's sad. You have to believe that there are people livid out there, looking for coverage on the caucuses and finding that Britney Spears is "breaking news" on CNN. I'm 21 and an avid connoisseur of pop music, and I'm livid. "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE." We don't care.
