First up, Airborne. I've actually been jonesing to see this movie for, like, three years now. It's nearly impossible to find, though. Or perhaps, I haven't looked hard enough. In any case, though I don't remember too many of the details, I remember this movie is suhweet. And! It stars Seth Green and Jack Black. How can you go wrong, I ask?
Second, The Paper Brigade. This movie actually just popped up in my head today, but it was one of my favorites on the Disney Channel. Yes, yes, I watched the Disney Channel. It's definitely gone south in recent years, but there used to be some mighty fine programming. They used to air a different movie every night at 7, and I would never miss a showing of good ol' Gunther and his Paper Brigade. Good stuff.
And finally, Brink! Oh, the memories. Who didn't love watching Andy 'Brink' Brinker walk the line between staying cool and selling out? Oh, and that Gabby. She was spicy.
Alas, all these flicks are hard to find these days, but I'm on the hunt. Ultimately, none of these can really be called masterpieces of film, but they're all solid enough that I can appreciate growing up on them. If I had the crud kids today are stuck with, who knows? I may not be as awesome. Perish the thought.
