Happy April Fools!! You foolish b***es!! The claws are coming out this April. Madonna, Mariah, and Leona (Lewis; you really just can't say Leona yet) are all dropping their albums this month, and I personally can't wait. I love Leona's new Misses Glass, Mariah's Migrate is actually starting to grow on me (when I manage to block her horrible SNL performance from memory) and Madonna... No, I can't actually say I'm feeling any of Madge's new material, but I'm sure she'll bring something good to the table with Hard Candy.

"Misses glass" is hot, but that's all. The rest of her album is rubbish in my opinion because the material all sounds like somebody elses. The bitch is boring, there's zero to her other than her voice. And I do not feel her when she sings.

"Migrate" is BANGIN'! You need to hear the HQ clip of the studio album version if you haven't already. That SNL performance did NOT do the song justice. I thought Danja fell off with the song, but he kept it movin'. I love the song now. She kills the start and the end of the song, and her vocoded vocals: fire.

The only song from Hard candy I've heard a snippet of that made me go "Shit! I really like that!" is "Miles away" and that is just a more uptempo version of Nelly Furtado's "All good things (Come to an end)". All of the other songs that I've heard range from okay to mediocre. I hate "4 minutes". I only like the beat, which is why I just play the instrumental. This album will be more of a success in the US than Confessions on a dancefloor because of the sound she's 'pimping' (I use that term because Madonna doesn't embrace, she pimps) and who she's worked with (again with the pimping of Pharrell and Timbo).
Verdict
Mariah will be the one shutting it down sales wise. She always tends to be able to sell an album over a long period of time, where as Madonna hits big with the first single and gets good first week sales - but then she tails off really fast. I'll definitely be copping Mariah's CD without fail, I'll see how it goes with Madonna's.
