Mariah recently performed Bye Bye, a new track from E=MC² on T4. I use 'perform' in the loosest sense of the word. The best and worst thing about the performance is that she lipped the entire damn thing. It's nice because our first real introduction to the song is exactly what we'll hear on the album, unlike when Mariah butchered Migrate on SNL. The subject matter is nice and everything, but I think this song should stay on the album and not be released as a single. Mariah's written better ballads; this is no We Belong Together. The sad thing is, it's kind of a shame that one of our greatest voices can cop out whenever she wants, get a band and backup singers up on stage to do absolutely nothing, and insult our intelligence. Anyway, check it out for yourself.

Great "performance" indeed...pssh!
It's a nice song, but it's just kind of boring. It's nothing special, it's just there to take up space. As always, it was great finish, but there was no real build up, and when she got all loud at the end, it kinda sounded like it came out of nowhere.
I think Bye Bye is amazing. I am not a huge Mariah fan--I like her and bought the last CD--but this song really hit home with me. I almost started crying when I first listened to it, and this song has just secured my purchase of her new CD when it comes out.
